A 'Blaster named Stephanie emailed me today to let me know of a 'Blaster that she placed on eBay for auction. Considering that they come up fairly rarely, here's a link to her auction.
Bidding is starting at a very reasonable $25. Good luck and happy 'Blasting. I hope that PB finds a happy new home, Stephanie!

PhotoBlaster for auction
GoPhoto Inc is no more?
A quick search appears to show that GoPhoto Inc. may be gone, at least, their old domain name is gone and parked by a domain host, with no more landing page.
I wonder what happened?
Interestingly enough, Amazon still appears to have the X-Treme Pix camera on sale from GoPhoto for $89.95.
Here was the old product page on the web site, I was able to grab this out of Google's cache:
The Wayback Machine doesn't show a whole lot for GoPhoto, their site is not too functional that way. Too bad.
At least I captured the PDF cut sheet for the camera when I could.
I recall that I discovered this back around February 2009, because I ordered one via Amazon on February 27, 2009. I got it, and saw that it was exactly like the PhotoBlaster. Cool! So I ordered another two on August, 10 2010 via Amazon.com as well, just in case...GoPhoto disappeared. And now they have. I wonder how many were produced, and how many they actually sold?
All very good questions. I may need to contact the President and CEO, Jerry W. Perry to get the skinny. I was able to locate some contact information for him on both LinkedIn and Facebook.

Price hike for Xtreme Pix
The good ol' GoPhoto Xtreme Pix has gone up significantly in price!
Latest price through GoPhoto direct is $49.95, and on Amazon, it's listed as $89.95.
Previously they were listed as $19.95 through Amazon and $17.95 direct through GoPhoto. That was as of my last major update (August 2010).
Wow! I wonder if they are short on inventory, or maybe it is going out of production again. In any case, it may be a good time to buy one (or another one if you're a collector).
I'll be taking a cross-country road trip soon, and I may bring my PB (or XtremePix) on the road just for fun. Of course, I will be taking my Canon PowerShot digital camera as well as my newly acquired iPhone 4S, which takes remarkably good photos for a phone!
